Marion’s lifelong involvement in dance began as a young child when she was enrolled with the Hilldale School of Dancing in Rochford. Her early training in Classical Ballet and Modern Theatre continued until she moved to Cambridge whereupon she took up Latin American and Ballroom Dancing. She later took professional training with Jill Bush and the late Peter Varley, gaining her Fellowship in each of the Dancesport genres.

During her teaching career, Marion has enjoyed training dancers from beginners to professionals; she was also an ISTD competition organiser, introducing the Cambridge regional events which became hugely popular with participating schools.

Between 2004 and 2006, Marion was appointed as an examiner to each of the Dancesport genres, whilst at the same time establishing teaching connections overseas. She now works regularly in Greece as a freelance tutor and has seen ISTD Dancesport become widely established there.

Marion was elected to the Latin American Faculty Committee in 2001 and has been involved in the writing of the General Grade, Intermediate and DDI Examinations
