Contemporary: Intermediate foundation syllabus
This course aims to provide teachers with the skills they need to prepare students for examination. Attendees will experience syllabus exercises and explore the key elements and themes of the Intermediate Foundation level of the syllabus. Teachers will also investigate methods and tools for setting and guiding students through structured improvisation tasks.

Building on the work at the Intermediate foundation level, this course aims to provide teachers with the skills they need to prepare students for examination at the Intermediate level. Attendees will experience syllabus exercises and explore the key elements and themes of the syllabus. Teachers will also investigate and further develop methods and tools for setting and guiding students through structured improvisation tasks. As students are required to pass the Intermediate Foundation exam before progressing through higher exams, we advise that teachers undertake the Intermediate Foundation course before the Intermediate.

Delegates are encouraged to detail exercises they would like to review and highlight specific areas of exploration desired when completing their booking. This course will focus on how to prepare your students for the structured improvisation element of the examination, offering some tips and tools on how to approach this with your students and how you might incorporate this into your weekly classes. For those less experienced in improvisation work and those interested in learning how to integrate improvisation into class.
