Physiological Development in Dance

An introduction to the physiological (growth and motor) development in children as applied to dance. The focus will be on age ranges that are applicable to the DDE Unit 5 content and will deliver accurate and up to date knowledge in this area. Please note that this session was also delivered in the Spring Programme and repeats much of the same information.

An introduction to the psychological developments in children and adolescents as applied to dance. The focus will be on age ranges that are applicable to the DDE Unit 5 content and will deliver accurate and up to date knowledge in this area. An introduction to Lead Lecturers – ‘A sharing of good practice’

Come and meet the ISTD Lead Lecturers for Modern, Tap, Imperial Classical Ballet and Contemporary. Find out why they teach and what this role means to them. An opportunity to talk about teaching and learning and share practice. Come and listen, ask questions, and join a community of dance teachers.

Unit 4 Updated Marking Guidance

This course will introduce DDE tutors to the new  marking and assessment criteria for DDE Unit 4 and is for all DDE tutors of all genres. Tutors will be introduced to the updated assessment criteria for Unit 4. The Unit 4 exam format and content will also be discussed to ensure that tutors have a clear understanding of the requirements of how Unit 4 is assessed.
