Our first course, the higher teaching Level 6 Diploma in Dance Pedagogy (DDP) launches in September and we still have places available in our first cohort.
Whether you’re an experienced teacher, a professional dancer or recent dance graduate you can progress your career with the Level 6 DDP teaching qualification. This course provides non syllabus, non genre specific training for you to enhance your teaching skills and maximise opportunities to develop your career in the state or private sector with a route to applying for Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills Status (QTLS).
Taught by leading practitioners, the course is delivered remotely allowing you flexibility to learn and work.

Meet the team
We’re delighted to introduce Natalie Dickmann, who has been appointed as ISTD Academy Programme Manager and will be responsible for implementing and overseeing the teacher training programmes. Natalie has a diverse background as a dancer, teacher, programme manager and within business and will be an asset for the Academy. We are delighted to have her on board and working with us.

A brand new identity
ISTD Academy is a subsidiary of the charity ISTD (Registered charity no. 250397) so while its part of the ISTD family, it is a separate entity delivering teacher training. You’ll be able to easily identify courses run by the Academy as they will be advertised under their own new look logo.
We wanted this logo to show a sense of progression and innovation but still maintain the heritage of the ISTD. The complimentary colour palette is fresh, gender neutral and really stands out from the crowd. We hope you like it!
