The Cecchetti Classical Ballet Faculty Committee is looking forward to welcoming fellow teachers and friends to enjoy a day of dance and celebration of the Cecchetti method.

With performances, demonstrations, and guest lectures in the wonderful setting of the Royal Ballet Upper School, Cecchetti Day promises to be an inspirational and joyous occasion for all Cecchetti members and friends, and is not to be missed! Join us on 21 April from 10am - 5pm and enjoy a packed programme of dance and lectures, a light lunch and refreshments throughout the day, as well as an opportunity to catch up and network with friends and colleagues. 

Programme

• Welcome reception with coffee
• Creative Ideas for classes at Grade 1 and Standard 1 - Lecturer Lucy Pohl with dancers from Buckhurst Hill and Woodford School of Dancing
• Performances from the Cecchetti Scholars and event Award winners
• A light lunch
• Faculty Updates from Philippa McMeechan and the Cecchetti Society Faculty Committee
• Use of the Upper Body, focusing on rotation through the shoulders and a sense of opposition through the torso - Lecturer Jessica Clarke, Artistic Manager of the Vocational and Pre-professional Programmes at Royal Ballet School, coaching Royal Ballet School Upper students
• Afternoon refreshments of tea and coffee
• Bethany Kingsley-Garner, former Principal Dancer of Scottish Ballet, Honours graduate of The Royal Ballet Schools, will be coaching Choreographer David Dawson's modern version of the iconic classic Swan Lake. By kind permission of David Dawson.

We regret that no refunds are payable once tickets are purchased and payment received.

The ability to run the course/event is based on a minimum number of attendees. Should this minimum number not be reached, we may have to cancel the event and issue a full refund. If the event is cancelled, participants will be contacted via the email address used to make the original booking. The ISTD is not liable for any additional costs incurred.
