Through this unit student dance teachers will gain an understanding of the key developmental stages relating to cognitive and psychosocial development and typical growth and motor development in children and adolescents.
Part of the ISTD Academy Level 4 Diploma in Dance Education (DDE), in Unit 5 you will be introduced to Child Development and explore the physical and cognitive stages that children go through from 2 – 18 years old. Typical and atypical development are explored, helping students gain knowledge that will underpin all aspects of their teaching practice.
