Throughout the year the Classical Indian Dance Faculty offer multiple opportunities for teachers to network, connect, learn new skills and enhance their knowledge of the Classical Indian Dance Syllabus.

Misrana

Misrana is a biennial event where Society teachers are invited to showcase their student's talents and performance skills. After an open call out, young dancers and performers submit a video entry and are carefully chosen by a selection committee. Featured performances consist of solos, duets and groups from across the two genres of Kathak and Bharatanatyam.

Bursary Awards

Our annual Bursary Awards performance celebrates exceptional talent and potential amongst Society trained young dancers. Every year, junior and senior participants are nominated via faculty events that took place in the year before to represent each of the seven Theatre faculties (Cecchetti Classical Ballet, Classical Greek, Classical Indian, Imperial Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre, National and Tap) and to perform before a panel of industry experts. Winners of each category receive funds towards their future training, alongside their teachers who also receive a financial bursary to support their continued professional development.
