Janet Cram Awards
The Janet Cram Awards are a prestigious annual event, where young dancers (between 8 and 16 years of age) from across different regions compete. The competition is based on a demonstration of several exercises from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing Modern Theatre Syllabi and a solo performance. It takes place in front of an audience and is judged by highly regarded professionals from the performing arts industry.
There are a number of Regional heats which take place all over the UK from Edinburgh to Yorkshire. Students who are successful in their region will then have a chance to take part in the final competition in London.
Whilst the 2020 event was unable to take place, we instead ran a West End Repertoire Competition online! View the results below...
West End Workshop
The West End Workshop day, held in the Autumn term, hosts a series of workshops delivered by West End professionals with varying styles for teachers and students (separately). It also includes a Q&A session for attendees to engage with seasoned practitioners at the end of the day.
