Why Drew inspires our community
His work highlights the importance of strong technical training alongside creativity, and the vital role dance plays in shaping powerful theatrical storytelling.
He is a shining example for our teachers, students and wider community:
- A creative who continues to push boundaries
- A collaborator who elevates voices around him
- A leader whose passion inspires the next generation of artists
On World Theatre Day, we recognise the importance of choreography and the skills it develops. That’s why ISTD Performance Awards provide an ideal platform for teachers to guide students in applying these skills, turning training into performance experience.
From everyone at ISTD, we send our warmest congratulations on Drew’s Olivier nomination and our admiration for his ongoing contributions to theatre. We cannot wait to see what he creates next.
