Delia Sainsbury trained at the famous Bush-Davies School in London, attaining her teaching qualifications in Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre and Tap and the Performers Diploma in Drama, LAMDA. She made her debut in Camelot at Drury Lane Theatre and went on to appear in nine other West End Musicals. She also performed in straight plays at the Bristol Old Vic, television, cabaret and movies.
After moving to South Africa in 1976, Delia had an unbroken record of over 20 years as a Presenter on SABC TV. She was granted senior international examiner status for the ISTD in 1986 and was granted the lifetime achievement award in 2004.
Delia also writes and produces extensively for corporate theatre and has written numerous productions for youth theatre. She gives career guidance and arranges professional auditions for children and graduates of the full time College. She also trains presenters for television and liaises with managements on a regular basis.
