Our CPD starter packages offer new and existing members a structured, supportive pathway to teaching our world renowned Imperial Classical Ballet, Cecchetti Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre and Tap genres.

Designed for qualified teachers, this training will equip you with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to deliver excellence in your studio. Each individual introductory genre package will provide:

50 hours of syllabus training (online)
6-hours of introductory courses on ISTD exams and studio marketing
Syllabus resources (syllabus books, digital music and videos – worth £200+)

Flexible learning

Each individual genre course is structured in three parts and can be purchased individually or as a whole package:

Part 1 – Introduction to Primary to Grade 4 (19.5 hours): £790
Part 2 – Introduction to Grade 5 and 6 (12 hours): £490
Part 3 – Introduction to dances, enchainments/amalgamations, creative development and recap of progressions (18 hours) : £735

Full package: £1,999

The cost includes the learning materials and access to introduction to ISTD exams and studio marketing courses.

We’ll be running courses according to demand, so register your interest today. CPD training courses normally run in holiday periods, e.g. late summer, October half-term, February half-term and Easter.

We will be advertising training for vocational levels at a later stage for those who want to teach Intermediate and beyond.

*Please note that it is not compulsory to purchase a CPD package if you wish to become a member of the ISTD via this route. It is however advised so that you can take up the opportunity to learn the detail of the work to deliver to your students accurately and confidently.

Imperial Classical Ballet: The artistic nature of the Imperial Classical Ballet work allows teachers greater scope and freedom in the studio; preparing versatile dancers who can adapt their work creatively sustaining their artistry, demonstrating movement memory and a strong foundation of technique.

Cecchetti Classical Ballet: The Cecchetti method has a rich heritage, created by Enrico Cecchetti it is renowned for its elegance, musicality and disciplined approach to classical ballet. The Cecchetti method and principles have been formative in the training of many of the world’s greatest ballet dancers and choreographers.

Modern Theatre: Modern theatre is one of our largest genres. It is accessible, and exciting and provides a structured and engaging training from early childhood through to professional vocational levels. A cornerstone of musical theatre and jazz productions, it epitomizes vibrancy and innovation.

Tap: With its rhythmic and creative footwork, Tap, appeals to all ages, making it ideal for engaging any students from children to adults. It’s a progressive syllabus serves as an excellent foundation for training professional dancers seen clearly in many shows and festivals. With its roots deeply intertwined with African, Irish, and British folk dances, tap dance has evolved over time to become a truly unique art form with immense cultural significance.
