Our Examination Centres provide teachers and students with high‑quality, accessible locations to complete ISTD examinations
They are designed for teachers who may not have a suitable venue of their own, who prefer the convenience of a centralised hub, or who have a lower volume of exam entries or live in remote locations where an examiner cannot routinely be scheduled.
ISTD currently offers two types of examination centre:
Both models ensure a professional examination experience, improve access for teachers, and support long‑term planning for schools - particularly those who cannot host examinations independently.
Our UK Regional Centres operate across the country and are ideal for teachers who do not have the facilities to host examinations, who have a small number of exam entries, or who are based in remote locations where they do not meet the minimum fee required for an examiner to visit their venue.

To support our growing international community, we are launching a new model of International Examination Centres. These centres bring ISTD examinations, teacher CPD and student masterclasses together in one location, offering a comprehensive development opportunity for teachers and pupils.
Our first European Examination Centre will open in Athens, Greece, in June 2026.
