  4. Cecchetti Malta Awards 2025

Welcome to the Cecchetti Malta Awards 2025.

The Cecchetti Classical Ballet Faculty are delighted to be holding the Cecchetti Malta Awards on Sunday 30 November 2025.

Established in 2017 by Catherine Hutchon, former Chair of the Cecchetti Classical Ballet Faculty, and a dedicated group of Maltese teachers, the Cecchetti Malta Awards celebrate and promote the richness of the Cecchetti Method. The inaugural event in 2018 honoured Tanya Bayona, who introduced the Method to Malta and founded the island’s first Cecchetti ballet school.

Following the success of the first awards, the Cecchetti Junior Award was introduced in 2019 to support younger dancers. During the pandemic, the event adapted with an online format in 2020 and 2021, before returning in person in 2022.

After another outstanding event in 2024, we are thrilled to continue the tradition in 2025. Building on the momentum of last year’s successful introduction of the Lower Junior Award, this year promises to be another inspiring celebration of Cecchetti talent and dedication.

The awards are generously supported by the Cecchetti Society Trust.
