  5. The magic of dance at Christmas 2026

4 November 2026

This year’s theme is the magic of dance at Christmas.

Create a handmade Christmas card design that captures the magic, joy and movement of dance at Christmas, as well as the wonderful variety of dancers.

It is important to us that designs should be hand drawn or painted and not created using any form of AI. Please feel free to get creative with collage, or any mixed media, but please no computer graphics.

Free your imagination and share your pictures, wherever dance is taking you this Christmas!

The winning designs will become ISTD’s official 2026 digital Christmas card, shared with our members around the world.

How to enter

Create your handmade Christmas card design and send a scan or photo of your artwork to marketing@istd.org by Friday 4 December 2026.

You can either collect and submit your students’ entries, including your ISTD dance teacher's name and each child’s first name and age, or share the details with parents/carers so they can enter individually, including their child’s first name, age and ISTD dance teacher’s name.

Let your imagination take the lead and show us the magic of dance at Christmas!

Find Your Dance Space - Dance can be a space to connect, grow, express yourself and celebrate together.
